At 43 years old, Lino believes the most important aspect of his life is family. He believes health and wellness play a huge role in keeping us feeling young and able to keep up with our children. Lino also believes in modeling these behaviors for his children and future generations of firefighters.
Nicholas Querzoli

Nick has been a member of the Boston Fire Department since 2014, and is currently assigned to Ladder 18. He believes health and fitness are an essential aspect of the job. Nick strives to be the kind of firefighter someone can place their trust and confidence in on their worst day.
Victor Munoz

Victor has been a Firefighter with the Boston Fire Department for 4 years, and is currently
assigned to Engine Company 28. Victor believes that as dynamic and unpredictable as
firefighting can be, being physically fit to perform his duties is an aspect that we are all capable of controlling. Thus ensuring that he is there for his fellow brothers and sisters.

Antone has been a Firefighter with the Boston Fire Department for twenty years. He has been assigned to Ladder 28 his whole career. Antone has been a trainer for ten years and he’s looking forward to helping his fellow brothers and sisters in the department become healthier humans.
Michael Tierney

Michael has been with the Department for ten years. He is a Fire Captain and currently assigned to Engine 4. As an officer, Michael feels that he sets an example on the company level as what type of physical shape we need to be in to perform in a career as a firefighter, a career that has taken so many lives too young.

Jonathan is a District Fire Chief and has been with the Boston Fire Department for 29 years. He is a lifelong sport and fitness enthusiast. Jon’s fitness philosophy is that you should be fit for duty and ready for whatever comes your way, on the job and in life.

Jay has been a Firefighter for six years on the Boston Fire Department. Fitness has always been a priority of his, as well as his family. Through diet and exercise, he hopes to be the type of firefighter he would like to see showing up to his door in an emergency.

Emily has been with the Boston Fire Department since 2020 and is currently a member of Engine 3 in the South End. Her training is primarily geared towards powerlifting, but she also places emphasis on cardio and core work. She believes in the importance of maintaining strength and endurance so she can be an asset, not a liability.
Jay Gormley

Jay is a 17-year veteran of the Boston Fire Department, currently serving as a Fire Lieutenant on Ladder 16. He is an avid runner and obstacle course racing enthusiast with a background in functional fitness. Jay's a certified Peer Fitness Trainer, with the IAFF's Fit to Thrive F2T program.

Mike is a proud member of Engine 16 and has served as an instructor for recruit classes at Moon Island. He has a fitness background with a human performance focus that began during his time in the US Army, and has carried through to his role in the fire service.
Matt Rattisan

Matt has been a Firefighter for three years and is assigned to Engine 29. He took an interest in personal training as well as triathlons and obstacle course races while in school working at the Boston Athletic Club. In 2010, Matt enlisted in the Navy where he eventually became his command's Assistant Command Fitness Leader.
